Mudcats Reload for the Spring 2009 Season

The weather was clear and cold for the opening team meeting and practice at 6:30 today.

After taking home the regular season and tournament championships in the fall with a record of 17 wins and 2 losses, the Mudcats are ready to get spring ball underway.

Yesterday the coaching staff completed a successful draft. They managed to secure two draft picks that played on the Mudcats fall team, Luke Cerasi and Andrew DiMeo, Jr. In addition, the coaches picked up three great prospects Ryan Bagley, Leyton Barnacascel, and Jacob Mitchell. Returning to the Mudcats are Adam Bloebaum, Cade Keesling, Jacob Maciejewski, Matt Molee, Joseph Nunn, Ryan Sholar, Dane Stewart, and Tyler Trexler.

Earlier today, after a short team meetings, Coaches Vaughn Sholar, Mark Keesling, Joe Maciejewski, and Dave Molee ran the first practice of the spring season. With the temperature at 32 degrees, it might have been cold on the field, but the Mudcats looked hot and ready to get the season going.
